Http://foss.my/Oracle announces the Exadata v2. Hardware by Sun, database by Oracle.
Seen in this week's edition of The Economist, plastered on the back page. Net loser? HP (who built the first Exadata). As seen around the Bukit Bintang area yesterday while stuck in some KL traffic.
Is this the first in the world? The sign, I mean. Also, should it not read: "Beware of snatch thieves" or "Beware of snatch thefts"?Beautiful ad in Malaysian Business, September 16 2009.
Social empowerment using ICT. Congratulations Devan Singaram, Mike Tee and Puah Sze Ning.
Claypot curry mee. In Taman Gembira, Klang. There's even a KTM train station nearby. Prawns are huge. There's fish. It's simply amazing. Definitely worth the drive ;)
Uncle Wong's specially roasted pork. Crunchy edges. Succulent meat. Absolutely fab.
From Loong Hing Trading Co. I'm told the recipe for the vodka is similar to what you get from Smirnoff. The gin smells like Bombay Sapphire (rhough I haven't tasted it).
This is export quality liquor apparently.
Vodka taste test? Unlike Absolut, Smirnoff has a non-burning sensation down the throat. In a lychee cocktail, shaken, not stirred, it actually tastes pretty darned good.
Alas, I can't judge no vodka or gin; I'm a scotch man myself, so therein ends my quick, somewhat uninformed review of the local moonshine ;)
How will it taste, I wonder? Delifrance in Leisure Mall selling a weird item alright
